Details Acacia Board:

  • Made of solid acacia wood, naturally resistant to moisture and stains.
  • Durable and naturally antibacterial.
  • Soft surface that protects knife blades.
  • Screen-printed Berkel logo.

Cheese knives:

  • Hard cheese knife: short, thick, pointed blade for breaking up aged cheeses. The ergonomic handle ensures stability and control, even with heavier cuts.
  • Semi-hard cheese knife: blade with a forked tip for a clean cut without crumbling, suitable for a wide range of semi-hard cheeses.
  • Soft cheese spreader: spatula-shaped blade designed to easily lift and spread soft and creamy cheeses.

Cleaning And Maintenance

Board:

  • Before first use, apply a thin layer of food-safe vegetable or mineral oil with a soft cloth, repeat this twice and then leave to dry.
  • Not dishwasher-safe. Wash by hand with warm water and mild soap, dry immediately with a soft cloth and store upright.
  • Once a month, for natural cleaning, cover the surface with coarse salt and lemon juice, scrub with a sponge and rinse.

Knives:

  • Dishwasher-safe, but hand washing with mild washing-up liquid and drying immediately is recommended to preserve the sharpness and finish. Do not use abrasive sponges.
  • Sharpen regularly with a quality whetstone or sharpener.
  • Store in a knife holder or knife sheath for extra protection and safety.
